Cliff Darby

Born February 16 th in West Covina, California, Cliff was raised in Deleon Springs, Florida where he began singing at an early age in the local church.  His father taught him how to play the guitar when he was just a child, and by the age of twelve, he was already performing publicly in school, talent shows and county fairs.
He wrote his first song at age 13 and as a singer/songwriter and musician, Cliff has released several records, played the Grand Ole Opry twice, and has toured the Southeast throughout his years.
As a performer, Cliff has shared the stage with Johnny Rodriguez, Ricky Skaggs, Dwight Yoakum, Emmylou Harris, Bill Anderson, Ricky Van Shelton, Collin Raye, The Mavericks, Razzy Bailey, Mel Mcdaniel, David Allan Coe, and many others.

Recently married, Cliff and his wife Glenis reside in Pensacola, Florida where he performs regularly in area venues such as the World Famous Flora-Bama Lounge in Perdido Key.

Cliff's reputation for versatility in professional country music shows has led him to be a top rated and frequently requested performer.

His newly released CD contains ten of his original songs, including the yodeling favorite, "The Paperboy", which garnered him multiple encores when he performed it on the Grand Ole Opry.
This album is his first full-length release of all original material that was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee in 1999. Besides writing, singing lead and back-up vocals on this project, Cliff also co-produced with Jeff Hagen, owner of Ridgemount Recording Studios in Hendersonville, Tennessee.

Cliff is the recent grand winner of the 2000 Hank Williams' Song writing Competition held in Hank's hometown of Georgianna, Alabama. His original song, "YOU CAN THANK HANK" earned him top honors and he was invited to open the next days' following show for Billie Joe Royal, Lori Morgan, Hank's daughter, Jett Williams and others.
