CHILDHOOD:
Angela grew up in Beaufort, North Carolina. She is the
daughter of Wilbur G.
and Inez S. Baker. She has two brothers, Rodney Brent
Baker and Michael Kent Baker. Michael was killed in an oil
tanker explosion on June 6,1984. He was 29 years of age at that
time. Angela's father and brothers had country music bands
for the most part of her childhood life.
GOALS:
Angela is in the market at this time for a Major Label
Contract.
She enjoys performing and promoting her work. She wishes to
tour, either as a solo artist or with a group in various
venues, and hopes to eventually be able to do a
National/International Tour as an opening act for a major
concert artist. She is promoting her song material in
hopes to achieve National radio airplay of her recordings.
She hopes to complete the work she and Wally Fowler were
working on together.
AWARDS AND HONORS:
Angela walked away from the October 3 "Online Country Music
Awards Show" in Nashville as the "Female
Vocalist Of The Year (United States)."
Angela was given the prestigious award by Nashville-based
Tracker
magazine, a publication that monitors national and
international
progress of independent artists in the country and gospel
music
fields. Angela was also nominated for awards in the following
categories; "Female Rising Star Of The Year,"
"Album Of The Year" for That's How Much I Love
You, "Christian / Positive Country Artist Of The
Year," "Entertainer Of The Year," "Artist
Of The Year," and "Website Of The Year."
The winners were determined by the fans of the
artists who voted online and by fax. Angela Baker
certainly is making her mark as one of the nation's
leading
independent artists. Angela was presented with Distinguished
Service
Awards during 1991 and 1992 for voluntarily rendering her
musical
talent to help promote the Aims and Ideals of the Veteran's
of
Foreign Wars of the United States of America and the Troops
of
Desert Storm.

Fowler", and is the last artist he produced and
managed during his career having helped foster the careers

NEW SINGLE RELEASE:
Angela recently recorded one of many songs penned
by Wally Fowler in 1967 called, "The Hurt In My
Heart". It is
currently being shipped to radio stations around America and
Europe.
The single is being released on Platinum Records in
Nashville,
Tennessee. Angela currently has music video that is available
of
"The Hurt In My Heart", and it is receiving television
airplay. She
is currently in the recording studio working on a gospel album
to
soon be released that will include more famous songs penned by
Wally
Fowler.
ALBUM RELEASE:
Angela currently released an eight song
country/gospel album in March 1999 entitled "That's How
Much I Love
You" to radio stations throughout Europe. The album
contains its
title cut entitled "That's How Much I Love You", and
three other
original songs written by Wally Fowler as well as one gospel
tune by
him. The cover tunes are those that are often requested by my
fans.
"I Feel Lucky," "Like An Eagle When She
Flies," and "There Goes My
Everything." This album is receiving airplay on numerous
stations
throughout Europe at this time.
OTHER:
Angela has performed in many venues, as an opening
act on big stages for large concerts to quiet background music
at
restaurants, etc. She is a very versatile entertainer and can
touch
the hearts and souls from one to many thousands. She has her
own
sound system and sound manager. She is open for bookings
at
Festivals, Concerts, Private Parties, Churches, etc...
