Tom
was born in a small southern Illinois town in the late
fifties. His immediate family migrated there from northern
Oklahoma a few years earlier. Tom was singing and writing
poetry at a very young age. He always was the "life
of the party" Pickin’ his guitar and singing a Hank
Williams tune or two! He proudly definitely showed a real
interest in metal forging when he was a young whippier
snapper
too! He honed his talents making things with his hands and
singing with bands. Tom is a Professional Ferrier,
Blacksmith and Metal Forger.
He also is a very
talented wood carver. If you ask Tom what is his hobbies
are he’ll tell you it’s bein’ lazy. Of course Tom is
anything but lazy! He shoes horses daily of the week and
still finds time to create some of the finest sculpted
metal and wood artwork
one has ever
seen. Writing songs and stories has been one of Tom’s
passions for many years. Tom has written hundreds of poems
and songs over the past years and recorded many of them
with some of the best musicians the business has to offer.
His new self-titled album of tunes included such greats
as: Buddy Emmons (pedal steel), Hoot Hester (fiddle
/mandolin), Pig Robbins (piano)… and the list goes on!
